Dorothy Gean Thompson Hildreth, age 94, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Snow's at Macon Memorial Park. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 11:00 am at St Francis Episcopal Church with Father Ben Wells officiating and burial will follow the service at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Dorothy was born in Isney, Alabama to the late William C. and Mary Agnes Thompson. She worked as a secretary at Robins Air Force Base. Dorothy attended St. Francis Episcopal Church and was a member of Middle Georgia Quilt Guild and Toast Mistress Association. She enjoyed gardening and traveling. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Dorothy is survived by children, Deborah “Debby” MacMillan (Doug) and Ron Hildreth (Amy); grandchildren, Douglas MacMillan Jr., Karl MacMillan (Sawyer), Amy Hildreth (Herbert); great-grandchildren, Will, Sam, Levi, Clara, Tate, Atticus, Simon, and Max; sister, Hazel Jackson (Wayne), several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog companion, Buddy Hildreth.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Jean Hildreth; and her siblings, Clyde Thompson, Annette Harmon, Jewel Tisdale, Francis Robinson, Edsel Thompson, Walter Thompson, and Willowdean Hines.
