Dorothy “Dottie” Wilson Morris, 90, beloved mother and grandmother died peacefully on Friday, October 12, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow for family only. Rev. David Peterson will officiate. The family will greet friends from 3 until 5 PM Sunday at the funeral home and asks that those who wish make donations to Hospice Advantage, 3902 Northside Drive, Macon 31210.
Mrs. Morris was born in Monticello, Georgia the daughter of the late Minnie Reynolds Wilson and Lucius Lamar Wilson. She was a self-employed hairdresser and taught cosmetology for several years.
Mrs. Morris is survived by her children, Brenda Jackson of Cartersville, James L. Bean (Elaine) of Gray, Wanda Patrick (Bill) of Macon; grandchildren, Rob Smith, Toby Smith, Shelly Seward, Tasha Mermans, Allison Griffith, Angela Benson, and Meghan Moore; 10 dearly loved great-grandchildren.
