Doyle Chapple Christopher Evans, 79, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025. A private celebration of his life will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025. Rev. John Johnson of St. Joseph Catholic Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon GA 31210.
Doyle was born in Lumber City, Georgia to the late Mathew David Evans and Clara Mae Davidson Evans. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Mathew Evans Jr. and James Robert Evans. Doyle served his country in the United States Army and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was retired from Georgia Kraft – Riverwood as a pipe fitter. Doyle enjoyed woodworking, gardening and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Frances P. Evans of Macon, children, Frank Matthew (Kathy) Evans, Jennifer L. (Joshua) Barnes, Amanda (Craig) Brooks, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Linda Evans, several nieces, nephews and cousins, and his four-legged friends, Renata and Waldo.
