Elizabeth "Betty" Ruff

Elizabeth “Betty” Powers Ruff, 85, passed away on August 31, 2014 after an extended illness. A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Thompson, Rev. Lance Merritt and the Rev. Janet Smith officiating. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 319 Margie Drive, Warner Robins GA 31088. The family may be contacted at the residence of Kim and David Sheppard, 6758 Rainey Drive, Macon GA 31220.

Mrs. Ruff was born in Macon, GA to the late Frank H. and Pauline Powers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Ruff. Mrs. Ruff was a charter member of West Highlands Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her children; David (Madge) Ruff, Rena Ruff, Dale Ruff and Kim (David) Sheppard, brother; Charles (Pam) Powers, twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
