Ernestine "Tina" Plunkett Brown, 82, died Friday, February 2, 2018 at her residence after a long illness. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Monday, February 5 at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Her granddaughter, Jessica Kennedy, will officiate. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 3 until 5 o'clock.
Mrs. Brown was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Ernest Lee and Carrie Annie Barfield Plunkett. She attended A.L. Miller High School and was a member of Grace and Truth Baptist Church. She volunteered with the LINUS Project of Macon. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Brown, in 1985, and a grandson, Kristopher Terrell, in 2016.
Survivors include her son, Ed Kennedy (Penny); daughters, Liz Thomas, and Elaine Greene (Ricky Watson); grandchildren, Duane Howell, David Kennedy, Jessica Kennedy, Jade Wilson; 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Sara Rogers (Donald); several nieces and nephews.
