Esther was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Marvin Prew Wilson and Mildred Hoover Wilson. She was preceded in death by her two sons, John Timothy Payton and Kenneth Lewis Payton, and her brother, James Wilson. She was of the Baptist faith and was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her son, Anthony (Mary) Payton of Macon, seven grandchildren, eight grandchildren, brother, Carl Wilson and sister, Anne Wright.
