

Eugenia “Jeannie” Hill Ligon, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 8, 2026. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Dr. Josh Gale officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 4256 Hartley Bridge Road, Macon GA 31216.
Jeannie was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Edward Eugene and Dovie McConnell Hill. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she served as Treasurer, taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and the Methodist Home Auxiliary. Jeannie was a graduate of McEvoy High School and retired from Robins Air Force Base as a Supervisor. Jeannie enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafting and spending time with her family. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Jerry Lee Ligon of Macon, three daughters, Julie (Troy) Hubbard, Jennifer (Mark) Califf, Jessica (Shane) Whittington, seven grandchildren, Christin (Troy) Watson, Kendal (Levi) Lomison, Chelsea (Neel) Patel, Kason (Rebekah) Califf, Chandler Whittington, Kenslea Califf and Colton Whittington, four great grandchildren, Will Watson, Wade Lomison, Cayde Lomison and Lucas Califf, her siblings, Sue (Charles) Smith, JoAnne Kenton, Sandra (Larry) Adams, Wanda Moorman, and Ronnie (Julie) Hill and several nieces and nephews.
