Frances Ann Purvis, 86, passed away on June 15, 2022 at home in the arms of her daughter. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 18, 2022 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Griffin and Rev. Tim Long officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends starting at 10:00AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Purvis was born in Atlanta, GA to the late William Leroy Jackson and Martha Frances Sims Jackson. She was a homemaker and cared for many small children of friends and family. Mrs. Purvis was a member of Shurlington Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Edwin Purvis; grandson, Ben Gleaton; great-grandson, Caleb Gleaton; brother, Bill Jackson; and sisters; Mary Blow, Virginia Faith, Juanita Smith and Patricia Dove. Mrs. Purvis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
Survivors include her children; Rhonda Gail (William) Gleaton, of Lizella and Gene (Lisa) Purvis, of Jones County; grandchildren; Sherry Gleaton, Kenny (Stephanie) Gleaton, Daryn (Michelle) Gleaton; great-grandchildren; Molly, Gabe and Issac Gleaton, Shelby and Shaelyn Gleaton, Carter, Claire and Jackson Campbell; and sister, Charlotte Ridley.
