Condolences to his family. We were in Elementary thru HS together and I remember our Math teacher at South Side Elementary had our class in the auditorium for some reason. We were working on multiplication tables, he had Gary stand on his head on the stage and rotate on the top of his head reciting multiplication tables ... the Math teacher said we should all know our tables that well! No matter what we were doing we should know them. No one else in our class could have done that, or was even asked to try (although we were reciting the tables with our feet on the ground!) He was a free spirit then too, and always intelligent.

Met Gary in junior high and became fast friends and developed a cool circle of friends. Gary hounded me for years to get my real estate license and that was some of the best advice i ever got. Have stayed in touch through the years but since he moved to Georgia our contact was through social media. Had many good times my friend and I hope to meet up again on the other side, Godspeed...

They sometimes talk about the “measure of a man” and with Gary it was always kindness, happiness and an infectious laugh that he shared with us all.  His memory still makes me smile as I see him laughing. What a blessing for us all!
