George Tucker

George Twilley Tucker, 88, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 surrounded by his family. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church with Dr. Tim Bagwell and Beth Dunwoody officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 1290 College St., Macon GA 31201, Georgia SPCA, 1175 Buford Highway #109, Suwanne GA, 30024, Dementia Society of America, 114 N. Main St., Doylestown PA 18901.

George was born in Macon, GA to the late Claude Eugene Tucker, Sr. and Ophelia Twilley Tucker. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Claude E. (Virginia) Tucker, Jr., Dorothy (Horace) Burgamy, Zelma (Houston) Vissage, Sr., and Sarah (Samuel) Nicholson. He was retired from Unisys Corporation as a Computer Systems Manager. George was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.

He is survived by his wife of 69 ½ years, Betty Tucker, children; Cynthia (Richard) Murphy, Brenda (Michael) See, Andrea Tucker, and Daren (Judy Nagy) Tucker, grandchildren; Jennifer Weinhiemer, Aaron (Anne) See, Laura (Johnny) Lewis, Kevin Murphy, Lauren Tucker, Charlotte Tucker and Ryan Tucker, great grandchildren; Ethan Weinhiemer, Ella Weinhiemer, Cullen See and Elliot Schulze and several nieces and nephews.
