Gladys Louise Sams, 84, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026. A celebration will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Josh Gale officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Gladys was born in Louisville, Georgia to the late Oscar Underwood and Hattie Rowland Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Tucker Sams. Gladys was a member of the Methodist faith and was retired from Belk’s as a salesclerk. Gladys enjoyed working in her yard and planting flowers. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by her children, Wanda Sams, Lisa Kitchens and David Sams, two grandchildren, Lee Seley and Daniel Kitchens, and her brother, Oscar Carpenter of IL.
