Gloria Ann Sikes

Gloria Ann Sikes, 84, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Snow's at Macon Memorial Park, 3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon, GA 31204, with Reverend Jeff Powell officiating. The family will greet friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital, 888 Pine Street, Macon, GA 31201.

Gloria was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Doyle Otto and Inez Lowery Daniell and was preceded in death by her husband, James Simeon Sikes; and granddaughter, Brittney Ann Higdon. She was a member of Safe Harbor Church and prior member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Pine Forest Baptist Church, West Highland Baptist Church. Gloria was an avid crocheter and was a member of Fingers of Love crochet group and was a member of XYZ Fellowship. She retired from Children's Friend Daycare as the Director and taught Kindergarten at Pine Forest Church. Gloria was well known for remembering the special life events of others through sending greeting cards.

She is survived by her children, Penny Sikes Knight (Wes), Kelly Sikes Higdon (Ricky), and Joseph "Jody" Doyle Sikes (Christina); grandchildren, Christopher "Chris" Adam Higdon (Nicole), Adam Michael Sikes, Brian Michael Sikes; and four great grandchildren.
