Hazel and family- sending love and comforting prayers for you all. Greg, Laura and I grew up hearing how much mama and daddy thought of y'all. Hardwick was more than a cousin to daddy - they were boyhood best friends. Hearing the stories of y'all at his homegoing brought some happy memories. Hazel, I know you will miss him, but what a blessing for 71 years. God bless you. Lynn (Coley) and Danny Watson.

I cannot begin to describe Mr. Battle, as I knew and called him, in so few words. He was a man that Janie and I called a great friend, a great neighbor, a great gardener and home maintence expert, and a great sentinel in times we were away. His presence was felt like a family relative's is felt, his pleasant smile and abundantly generous nature valued as few others could possibly be, and the example he and his beloved wife Hazel set for those of us to follow was second to none.

Our hearts go out to Mrs Battle as she mourns her loss after 71 years of marriag. Our prayers ask for the wonderful milestones of such a marriage to rush to the forefront as time soothes the aches of loss and replaces them with sweet memories of cherished times together. May God bless each of you in these trying times. Our love to you all,

Janie and Monroe Yarbrough
