Our deepest sympathy to Harriett's entire family--Dave, Brandy, and their children, as well as to Harriett's sisters. Her family meant so much to her, and we know that she will be greatly missed by all of her family. Her life ended much too soon for someone who loved life as much as she did. We will remember her as a respected professional educator, a caring person, and a loving friend.

David, I first knew your mother at Jessie Rice as my oldest child's seventh grade teacher. When I went to McEvoy Middle School as an administrator, she was one of the teachers in my building. I found her to be a caring teacher and a true professional in the seven years that I worked with her. There is no way to measure the positive influence that she had on students over thirty-eight years. She talked about you and your family a great deal and I know you will miss her terribly. Sincerely, Vonceil NeSmith
