Harriett Ernestine Pittman

Harriett Ernestine Pittman, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 2, 2025. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be private for the family at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ingleside Baptist Church, 834 Wimbish Road, Macon GA 31210.

Harriett was born in Topeka, Kansas to the late Ernest James and Mary Elizabeth Wade Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Elmo Pittman and her daughter, Dianne Pittman Wallace. Harriett retired from Macon State College after working thirty years as the Receptionist. She was a devoted and active member of Ingleside Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class and was instrumental in starting a Widow’s Ministry Light Lifters. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by son, Dan (Cathy) Pittman of Forsyth, grandchildren, Dan (Staci) Pittman, Jr. of Macon, Brandon (Cindy) Wallace of Milton, GA, Brittany (David) Stollenwerk of Brentwood, TN, and Blaire Wallace of Macon, great grandchildren, Hannah Pittman, Olivia Pittman, Hayden Wallace, Carson Wallace, Pace Stollenwerk, Drake Stollenwerk and Hudson Stollenwerk.
