Harry L. Lawrence
November 9, 1949 – February 18, 2021
Harry L. Lawrence, 71, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Noon in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami FL 33131. All attendees must wear face masks and adhere to CDC social distancing guidelines.
Harry was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Wilson Smith and Myrtle Harper Lawrence. He was a graduate of Lanier High School and served his country in the United States National Guard. Harry was retired as a Sergeant with the Bibb County Sherriff’s Department. He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed fishing, watching football and working on his cars. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jackson Lawrence of Lizella; daughter, Amy (Zach) Taylor of Gordon; son, Jason (Lori) Lawrence of Pine Mountain; grandchildren, Kendall and Daniel Ward and Lara and Jacob Lawrence.

I just found out about the passing of my friend Harry. We worked together in the Bibb County Jail until my transfer to patrol. Harry was a fun loving guy and great to be around. Really enjoyed working with him. Prayers and Condolences to the family.
