

Harvey Wilson Collier, Jr., 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Lizella Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Minton officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lizella Baptist Church, 2950 S. Lizella Road, Lizella GA 30152.
Harvey was born in Waycross, Georgia to the late Harvey Wilson Collier, Sr. and Lalia Edward Collier. He was preceded in death by both of his wife’s, Shirley Sanders Collier and Sue Boyles Collier and sister, June Collier Dixon and stepfather, Robert Augustus McKinnon. Harvey attended Georgia Tech and was a graduate of Mercer University. He served his country in the United States Air Force and retired from Robins Air Force Base as a financial manager. Harvey was a member of Lizella Baptist Church and has served the Lord faithfully. He served as a minister of music at Russellville Baptist, Dames Ferry Baptist and Lizella Baptist Church.
The family is grateful for the care given by Traditions Hospice, especially Nene Ayers and Megan Kelly.
He is survived by his three step-children: Ron (Sherri) Douthit, Audie (Lane) Davis and Marcy (Ron) Rookey, brother, William Michael “Bill” (Jeanne) Collier and devoted caregiver and friend, David Tucker.
