Helen Barkley Graham, 79, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Chris Minton will officiate. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon 31210.
Mrs. Graham was born in Macon and had lived in Middle Georgia for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Annie Mullis Barkley and Robert L. Barkley and the widow of John Wallace Graham. Mrs. Graham was a member of Musella Baptist Church and was an avid golfer, having been City Champion in 1967, 68 and 69. She was a counselor for the State of Georgia at River’s Edge and also the former co-owner of Industrial Plumbing Company for 40 years.
Mrs. Graham is survived by her children, Dannah Minton of Lizella, Juaneice Kennedy of Roberta, John Wallace Graham, Jr. of Macon; grandchildren, Nikki Kennedy, Michael Kennedy, John Wallace Graham, III and Taylor Minton; great-grandchild, Christian Graham.
