LOGANVILLE - Irene M. Burns, 89, formerly of Macon, passed away on Monday, April 09, 2012. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy McMillian officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M., Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Mrs. Burns was born in LaGrange, Georgia to the late John Wilkes and Lillie Rushie Walker McMillian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter F. Burns, Jr. and her grandson, Michael Shane Lawless and eleven siblings. Mrs. Burns was a member of Shurlington United Methodist Church and was retired from Robins Air Force Base after thirty eight years of service. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. -She is survived by her daughter, Miriam (Mike) Lawless of Loganville, GA.; grandson, Heath Lawless of Dacula, and great granddaughter, Morgan Lawless of Loganville, and several nieces and nephews.
