MACON – Irene H. Dominy, 83, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev.Randall Mimbs will officiate. The family will meet friends from 10 a.m. to service time on Tuesday at the funeral home and, while flowers are accepted, memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 1160 Forsyth Street, Macon 31201.
Mrs. Dominy, wife of the late Ray Dominy, was a lifelong resident of Macon and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Rosa Turner Horne. She was retired from Macy’s after forty-eight years and was a member of Macy’s Ole Timers Club. Mrs. Dominy was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Gary Dominy of Live Oak, FL and Darryl (Angie) Dominy of Macon; her daughter, Lynn Taylor of McDonough; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
