Irene Adams McCook, 81, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Evans officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mrs. McCook was born in Gordon to the late Robert Lonza and Della Mae Adams. She was a retired Secretary for the Georgia State Hospital. For sixty-one years, Mrs. McCook was the wife of Briscoe Ware McCook who passed away on May 29, 2014. She was a member of Thomaston Road Baptist Church and most importantly, was a loving and devoted wife and Christian mother.
She is survived by her children, Van McCook and Sandy McCook of Macon and Captain Keith McCook of Round Rock, TX; her brother, L. D. Adams of Gordon.
