Jack McGraw, 89, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Macon Memorial Park Chapel with Dr. Otis Andrews officiating. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. to service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Glenwood Hills Baptist Church, 3225 Rice Mill Road, Macon GA 31206.
Jack was born in Unadilla, Georgia to the late Ernest and Myrtise McGraw. He was preceded in death by five siblings. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of Glenwood Hills Baptist Church. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway as a switchman. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine R. McGraw of Macon, her sons, Jack Keith (Kathy) McGraw of Macon, Al (Deborah) McGraw of Benton, TN, Moran “Mac” (Angie) McGraw of Forsyth, grandchildren, Brandi Giddens, April Tyson, Gabe McGraw, Josh McGraw, Nicholas Jennings, Taylor McGraw, Kelly Shugart, ten great grandchildren, sisters, Minda (Joe) Ireland and Ernestine Faircloth.
