Mr. Jack Myers, 82, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 6, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 1 o’clock, in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends at the funeral home for an hour prior to the service. Family suggests that those who wish, make memorial contributions to the ASPCA or a local No-Kill animal shelter.
Mr. Myers was born in Macon, GA and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Lanier High School and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Jack was also a thirdbaseman for the Navy Baseball Team. He was a longtime member of Bellevue Baptist Church and VFW Post 9709. Mr. Myers was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Collins Myers in 2010, and a brother, John Myers.
Survivors include his sons, Mike Myers (Marinell Moore), Ronnie Myers, Kevin (Amy) Myers; grandsons, Daniel (Jennifer) Myers, Noah Myers; great grandchildren, Betsy Myers and Declan Myers; brother, Milton (Janie) Myers; his grand-dog, Mick; and several nieces and nephews.
