Mr. Jacky W. Harrell, 67, died Saturday afternoon, July 11, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, July 16, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday night from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor’s choice.
Mr. Harrell, son of the late Wilbur and Nancy Ella Parrish Harrell, was born in Ray City, Georgia on December 4, 1947. He was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Browning. Mr. Harrell served his country in the United States Air Force, during the Vietnam War, and retired from Norfolk Southern as a conductor, after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Touchdown Club, enjoyed golf and sports, and was an avid outdoorsman.
Surviving Mr. Harrell are his wife of 45 years, Mary Ann Harrell; daughter, Amy (Scott) Marlowe; grandsons, Bennett and Erik Marlowe; brothers, Johnny (Nancy) Harrell, Wesley (Diane) Harrell, and Franklin Harrell; and many nieces and nephews.
