James Russell Clark, Sr., 67, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2010 at a local hospital. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Bruce Floyd will officiate. The family will meet friends from 1 – 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Sword Clark, and was the son of the late William and Frieda Harriett Noland Clark. He retired from the City of Macon after thirty-three years’ service. Mr. Clark was the brother of the late Jean Sword.
He will be missed by his family whom he treasured, his children James (Eleanor) Clark, Jr. of Jones County, Della (Lonnie) Selph of Griffin, Brenda McMillan and Tammy Clark, both of Macon and Cathy Chopra of Juliette; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; four sisters, Sandra Taylor, Janice O’Dell, Kaye Tucker and Rose Boyd; his brother, William Clark and several nieces and nephews.
