James C. “Chris” Darley, 34, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving parents. A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2015 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Phillip Johnson will officiate. The family will meet friends from 2 p.m., to service time on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, 5526 West 13400 South, #510, Salt Lake City, UT 84096, USA.
Chris was born in Macon, knew and loved Juliette as his home. He was a graduate of Mary Persons High School. He was a saw operator with Boyd’s Industrial Woodworking and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Chris was a member of Woodmen of the World, was an avid softball player with the Church League and a devoted NASCAR fan.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory the family he adored, his parents, Harold and Kathryn Sims Darley of Juliette; his sister, Jessica Danielle (Chris) Oakes of Byron; his brother, Brandon Matthew (Amanda) Darley; his grandmother, Laura Lee Sims of Macon; his uncle, Robert Sims of Forsyth; nieces and nephews, Christal and Christopher Oakes and Caitlin and Jack Black.
