

James Paul Davis, 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Long and Tyler Brown officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Paul was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Robert Raymond and Edna Allen Davis. He was a graduate of Lanier High School where he played in the marching band, and he was a graduate of Macon Junior College. Paul was a member of First Evangelical Church; he served on the Board and was a Sunday School Teacher. He was a great supporter of several churches in Macon. Paul loved woodworking, gardening and growing beautiful flowers. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Sylvia Tomberlin Davis of Lizella, daughter, Melanie (Joey) Brown of Lizella, son, John Paul Davis of Charlotte, grandchildren, Rachel (Matt) Mosely of Macon, Tyler (Amanda) Brown of Macon, Parker (Anna) Davis of Boston, Jared Davis of Spartanburg, great grandchildren, Gunnar Mosely, Kain Mosely and Carter Brown, and his sister, Jean Estes of Macon.
