I met Jack in 1996 when starting my tourism career at the Macon Bibb County Convention & Visitors Bureau in Macon, Ga. He volunteered his time willingly and happily and was a champion for Macon’s tourism. He became an important CVB family member to the 15 women who served on that staff years ago. Pictured is a fun memory of the two of us placing pink bows in downtown to welcome all the visitors during the Cherry Blossom Festival. Such a kind man and a sweet soul with a hearty laugh, and loved dearly by his CVB girls...especially this one!

Connie I didn’t realize you had a handsome companion as Jack, don’t know y’all’s story, but believe me I had the love of my life companion for 40 years and lived with him, took care of him after he had a stroke in 1999 and I was living with him due to my cancer of 1994 until I had to come home and take care of my parents in 2007. He lived until 2014 and a big piece of my heart went to Heaven with him. I know how you feel and I’m so sorry for your loss. I know God will forever hold you in His hands until y’all meet again. Please know you may call on me anytime because I know you’re loss. If you feel a tear rolling down your face know that’s a kiss from Jack telling you he’s ok and he truly misses you. God’s grace and blessings flow down upon you. Cry when you need, holler anytime. It’s very normal when you care for someone so deeply. God Bless you and I’ll have you in my prayers for quite some time. Please take care of yourself.
So sorry for the entire family of James Jackson Hinson. God Bless you all
