James W. “Kip” McCarty, 44, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Birch Family Cemetery, Jay Bird Springs, GA, with the Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. The family will meet friends on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Kip was born in Warner Robins, Georgia to the late James D. McCarty. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Andy Mercer. He was of the Baptist faith. Kip was employed by CRST Trucking Company and he loved fishing, welding and truck driving.
He was survived by his mother; Peggy Mercer of Macon, children; Justin T. McCarty, Jadi, Jaci, Jami Clark, granddaughter, Ariel, sisters; Ramona Boyd and Christie (Bud) Thompson, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his beloved dog, Buddy.
