James Alvis McElmurray, 86, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018. A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00am until the service.
James was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Lovette Eugene and Mary H. McElmurray and was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Crapps McElmurray and sons, Bobby LeRoy Johnson and William Ralph Johnson. He was retired from counter sales with Cameron Barkley and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. James was a member of Midway Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Wilburn and Natalie Swords (Billy Mack), both of Lizella; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and brother, L.E. McElmurray (Sharon).
