

James was born November 18, 1928, the oldest of 7 children, born to Ruby and James (Jim) Collins. He was preceded in death by his brothers A.J., Lenard, and Harry Lee Collins, and his parents, Ruby and Jim.
James (Robert) is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mildred Hulett Collins; 2 sons, Gregory Christopher and Victor Tracy (Kalei) Collins; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Gerald (Margaret) Collins; sisters, Betty Joyce Rogers and Frances (Jr.) Burgamy; numerous nieces and nephews; and his “sweet, smart” cat Spooky.
Robert grew up in Milan, Georgia. He joined the Army shortly after marriage and served in the Korean Conflict. He and Mildred moved to Macon, Georgia in 1954, where they made their home. Robert worked for GA Kaolin, Dry Branch, GA for 36 years.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens, Joycliff Road. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on the evening of Monday, May 4, from 6 until 8 o’clock.
