Jean Roberts McNeil, 91, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Matt Cowart officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, 5400 Riverside Drive, Suite 200, Macon GA 31210.
Jean was born in High Shoals, Georgia to the late John and Eunice Poulnott Roberts. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin L. Hinson and her second husband, William McNeil. Jean retired from Robins Air Force in the electronics division and was a life-long member of Porterfield Baptist Church and the Leisure Club at the church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a great-great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Hamlin (Tom), and Pam Matthews (David) and their children, Chad Hamlin (Kim), Leigh McElory (Joseph), Mandy Winner (Scott), Allison Sandoval (Dave), and Kalie Stuart (Casey); her son, Chipper Hinson; 15 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Norma Cox.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Sam Poulnott and Wayne Roberts.
