

Macon, GA- Imogene” Jeanne” Weaver Brogdon, 83, passed away on October 5, 2013, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM, October 8, 2013 at St. Francis Episcopal Church with the Rev. Ben R. Wells officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM at Eternal Hills Cemetery in Snellville, Georgia. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contribution to be made to: St. Francis Episcopal Church, Ministry of Haitian Hope, 432 Forest Hills Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. The family will greet friends on Monday, October 7, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brogdon was born in Haleyville, Alabama to the late Sarah Bessie Cummings Weaver and Roy Weaver. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to Europe and England. Mrs. Brogdon attended Memphis State College. Throughout her life she enjoyed many professions including banking, real estate and a flight attendant with Southern Airways.
She was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church and Daughters of the King.
Mrs. Brogdon is survived by her husband: Charles Brogdon of Macon; children: Terri (Jim) McDermot of Wilmington, NC, Steven (Judy) Futrell of Dawsonville, GA, Janet Call of McDonough, GA, Joel Keith Brogdon of Columbia, SC and Timothy (Lori) Futrell of ST. Thomas, USVI, 7 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren; brother: Billy (Kitty) Weaver of Columbus, GA and sister: Odell Thrasher of Stone Mountain, GA.
