MACON – Jerry Lowery, 84, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2011 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Ferguson will officiate. The family will meet friends from 3 – 5 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Lowery was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Victoria Williams Lowery. He was a lifelong resident of Macon and was the son of the late Tobe and Mary Vaughn Lowery. Mr. Lowery was retired from Bibb Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church (formerly Shurlington Baptist). He was devoted to his family whom he loved dearly.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda (Steve) Estes of Macon; his stepdaughter, Darline (George) Parker of Danville; his stepsons, Cloyce (Rose) Pittman of Allentown and James (Pat) Pittman of Macon; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; his brother, William Lowery of Milan and numerous nieces and nephews.
