Terri Jill Lander, 59, passed away Monday, September 08, 2014. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Lizella Baptist Church. Burial will be private. Rev. Glenn Haskins, and Rev. Chris Minton will officiate. The family will greet friends following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Macon Purrs N Paws Humane Society, 1546 Rocky Creek Road, Macon 31206.
Mrs. Lander was born in Macon, the daughter of the late Sybil Park Clifton and William M. Clifton, Jr. She was an art teacher, having taught in Bibb, Butts, and Talbott County Schools as well as Cross Keys Christian and River North Academy. Mrs. Lander was a member of Lizella Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lander is survived by her husband of 34 years, Kim Lander of Macon; daughters, Tara (Brock) Merriman of Cocoa, FL and Olivia (Brad) Park Lander of Macon; grandchildren, Daisy June Ussery, Taylor Gibson Ussery, Damien Ussery, and Jacob Ussery all of Macon; brother, Ken (Kathy) Clifton, III of Powder Springs, GA; nieces, Valerie Wilke and Rachel Braly both of Houston, TX; mother-in-law, Edna B. Lander of Maryland.
