Joan Thigpen Hooker, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Entombment will be private at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Dr. Will Farrington officiating.
Joan was born in Adrien, Georgia to the late Hilburn and Katie Mae Chafin Thigpen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Freeman Hooker, Sr. Joan was a member of Liberty Church Macon and was a homemaker. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Donald F. Hooker, Jr., Ronald B. Hooker (Becky Vastakis), and Curtis E. (Karen) Hooker, and her grandson, Christopher (Andrea) Peterson.
