John was born in Queens, New York to the late John Joseph Hood. He was retired from Cox Communications. John was a devoted and loving son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He adored his beautiful granddaughter, McKenzie.
He is survived by his mother, Connie Hood, son and daughter-in-law, Joey (Kirsten) Hood, daughter, Kristin Hood, granddaughter, McKenzie Hood, sister, Barbara Floyd and several nieces and nephews.
