Johnny Lewis Gober, 82, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 @ 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Paul Robinson officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. to service time.
Johnny was born in Macon, Georgia. His parents were Lewis C. Gober and Rosa L. Green Gober. They, along with two brothers, and a sister preceded him in death. He served his country in the United States Army and the Georgia National Guard for a combined total of twenty-three years. Johnny was retired after nearly thirty-four years of service from Armstrong World Industries. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Ethel Bacon Gober of Macon, son, John (Zipporaha) Gober of McDonough, daughter, Shevonne Gober of Macon, grandchildren, Jessica Gober and Lawrence (Miah) Gober and great granddaughter, McKenna Gober, sister-in-law, Mary Mirabeau and several nieces and nephews.
