Jonathan “Jon” B. Vogler, 76, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, but his family finds comfort in the memories they shared and the love he leaves behind.
A celebration of Jon’s life will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at City Refuge Church, 1534 Tucker Road, Macon, GA 31220, with Charles Starks officiating. Burial will follow at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Jon was born in St. Paul, Virginia, to the late David John and Ozella Carrie Wantland Vogler. Throughout his life, he cherished his family, his faith, and the simple joys that brought happiness to his days. He was a devoted member of City Refuge Church.
Jon was employed by Bass Pro and was a loyal sports fan who proudly cheered on his beloved Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and Atlanta Falcons. Whether supporting his favorite teams or spending time with those he loved, Jon found joy in the things that meant the most to him.
Above all, Jon will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. His love for his family was an important part of his life, and the memories he created with them will remain treasured for years to come. Though he will be deeply missed, his family and friends can take comfort in the lasting impact of his life and the love that will continue to bind them together.
In addition to his parents, Jon was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda Mims Vogler, and his two brothers, Paul Vogler and Donnie Vogler. Their memories remained a cherished part of his life, and he is now reunited with those who went before him.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Phillip (Anna) Vogler and Kim (Sean) Hampton; his grandchildren, Cameron, Chase, and Marissa Hampton; his sisters, Phyllis Kearns and Margaret (Tom) Davis; and several nieces and nephews who will remember him with love and affection.
Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
