

Macon, GA – Joseph Ernest Wade, 77, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. A rosary will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Hospice of Central Georgia, 3780 Eisenhower Parkway, Macon, GA 31206.
Mr. Wade was born in Phenix City, AL to the late Carlton Ernest and Inez M. Bellflower Wade. He attended Central High School in Phenix City, AL and served in the United States Navy, during the Korean Conflict aboard the U.S.S. Boxer and was a Bronze Star recipient. Mr. Wade was a member of St. Peter Claver Church and also attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He was retired from Local 85 Sheet Metal Workers Union.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Middlebrooks Wade of Macon, children, Debra Wade Johnson (James Gary) of Salem, AL, Robin Wade Savell (Kenneth) of Phenix City, AL, Joseph Ernest Wade, Jr. (Kelly) Phenix City, AL, David Wade (Mickey) of Long Beach, MS, Anitra Delana Woodward (Christopher) of Ozark, AL, Hannah Curtis Avery (Troy) of Macon and Russell Curtis of Macon, twenty five grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, two sisters, Eleanor Hood of Winder, GA, Faith Edwards (Billy)of Columbus, GA, sister-in-law, Vicki Amerson of Macon, brother and sister-in-law, Bob Middlebrooks (Debbie) of Lizella, numerous nieces, nephews and his special babies, Gypsy, Sady, Bo and Mr. Wilson.
Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery has charge of the arrangements.
