

BYRON, GA - Not long after sunrise on Saturday, November 6, 2010, Angels came, softly calling out her name. Juanita "Nita" Zodun Wilson Smith left this earth for her heavenly home when she passed away unexpectedly at a local hospital. She was a Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a loving and dedicated caregiver to her mother and husband in their time of illness. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 11A.M. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Steven Grantham officiating. The family will greet friends on Monday, November 8, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association , 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
Mrs. Smith was born in Watkinsville, Georgia to the late Delbert Charles and Rosa Lee Rodeheaver. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tracy Lynn Shows; son-in-law, Jim Haga; two brothers, Pvt. Carl Rodeheaver and Charles Rodeheaver; and sister, Byrice Goings. She was a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church and was a retired area manager with Olan Mills Studio. Mrs. Smith was an avid bowler and was a top senior bowler in the state and is in the Georgia Bowlers Hall of Fame. She was a very devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother and sister.
Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of her daughters, Anita L. Shows Haga of Fort Valley, GA; Jane McCamish (Bryant) of Hawesville, KY; Judy Z. Carter (Ron) of Memphis, TN; and her son, John H. Zodun (Devona) of Forysth, GA; grandchildren, Deana Thaxton, Kenny Shows, Robbie Kim Gavin, John H. Zodun, Jr., Michelle Hobbs, Jason Carter, Adam Walls, Carrie Carter, and Melissa Carter; twenty-one great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; sister, Annie Ruth Johnson of Macon; and four brothers, Don Rodeheaver, Curtis Rodeheaver, Pat Rodeheaver and Weyman Rodeheaver, and numerous nieces and nephews.
