Kathleen Jones Harris

Kathleen Jones Harris went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 29, 2025. Her family will greet friends during visitation on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Snow’s at Macon Memorial Park. A celebration of her life will be on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 2:00PM in the chapel of Snow’s at Macon Memorial Park with Pastor David Garrett officiating. Her burial will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens following the service.

She was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Joshua L. Jones and Adel H. Dukes on September 22, 1931. Kathleen was young at heart, full of life and conversation. She was deeply devoted to and a beloved member of New Heights Baptist Church.

She was welcomed into Heaven by her husband of 58 years, Bernard E. Harris; and her brothers, William L. Jones and George C. Jones.

Kathleen will be lovingly missed by her children, Todd H. Harris (Yvette) and Tara L. Matheney (Steve); grandchildren, Haydn D. Harris (Katlynn), Jonathan M. Matheney (Stephanie), and Anna L. Matheney; great-grandchildren, Violet Mae Matheney, Jonathan Michael Matheney Jr., Jeremiah Mills Matheney, and Eden Tara Matheney; a granddaughter of her heart, Kelly H. Wright; devoted and cherished friends, Kim and David Sheppard; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Oaks at Wildwood for their loving care during her residency there.
