Kenneth “Ken” Edward Rosenquest, 82, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Shiver officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00pm until the service.
Ken was born in Holden, Pennsylvania to the late Earnest and Lyda Beveridge Rosenquest and was preceded in death by his siblings, Earnest O. Rosenquest, Jr., Robert N. Rosenquest and Betty Ambrose. After graduating high school, he served his country in the United States Army. Ken dedicated the next 58 years of his life to the glass manufacturing industry. He proudly worked his way up from machine repairman to the Manager of Operations over three plants. In lieu of college, he considered himself a graduate from the school of "Hard Knocks". Ken retired as Purchasing Agent/Inventory Manager from General Mills. He was an avid outdoorsman: including fishing, hunting, or working in his yard until sundown. Ken also enjoyed bowling, rooting for the Braves, or watching a good ole western movie. Ken was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Joyce Segars Rosenquest; children, Pam Burton, Kenneth E. Rosenquest, Jr. (Mariann), Joy Malone (Dickie), Traci Shiver (Jeff), Tommy Miller, Peggy Hines (Butch Cinkaj); eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and sisters, Viola Vogelbacher (Don), Evelyn Rimer and Joanne Garron (Herb).
