Kenneth “Kenny” Emory Corbitt, 64, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 25, 2015 after a mercifully short battle with cancer. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Corbitt officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, P.O. Box 539, Bolingbroke, GA 31004.
Kenny was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Newsome M. and Hilda Jones Corbitt. He was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Glenn Corbitt. He was a graduate of Lanier High School and attended Macon State College. Kenny was a member of West Highland Baptist Church. He loved music and was a talented musician.
He is survived by his son, Chase Corbitt of Buford, sister; Patti Anne (Randy) Stephens of Marietta, brothers, Rev. Jimmy (Susan) Corbitt of Macon, Matt (Vicki) Corbitt of Juliette, aunt, Martha (Glen) Chancey of Alapaha, uncle, Johnny Corbett of Rome and several nieces and nephews, and too many friends to list.
