Dear Robin and Paul, we are so sorry for your loss. Kitty was a wonderful lady who always made us feel loved and special. We have many fond memories of Christmas celebrations, days on the farm, and visits to Newnan. Robin and all, I am so sorry for your loss. Kitty was loved by so many for her strength, her spirit, her smile, and her beautiful soul. She was gracious and open when I hardly knew her, helping our local group maintain Crawford County's pottery heritage. I so loved visiting her on the farm. I pray for God's peace for your family.

Kitty was a delightful person. I knew her sparingly, but she was always happy and positive.

Everyone loved Kitty.  We were privileged to see her in unlikely settings -- in Kazakhstan and in Mongolia.  Yes, apart from everything else, she was a world traveller, interested and engaged with the rest of the planet and bringing much happiness to others along the way; a remarkable person in every way!

Ms. Kitty was an amazing woman.  We met her several years ago after having met her son Paul.  We visited her farm lots of times and would bring her keylime cheesecake at times.  She was always so kind and loving and always had time for you.  I do not believe she ever forgot anyone's name and she could provide all of the historical information on all of her treasures.  She loved animals and would always be able to provide the proper way to care for them.  When I saw her little self on that big tractor I thought she is one of a kind.  She was loved by many and touched the hearts of many also.  We will miss her and wish her family many happy memories and our prayers will be with all of you.  She will be missed by many. Miss Kitty was a dear friend who adored her animals and farm life! I so enjoyed spending time with her. She was strong and spunky till the very end and now she is driving a tractor in heaven caring for the animals and family who went before her. We love you Miss Kitty!

There are many things I could write about Kitty. She was a loving and caring friend who was always ready to help. She loved and cared for her family. She was  multi-talented, a professional interior decorator, a fabulous cook, could do anything (like installing tile) and do it well, she loved the farm and riding her tractor with the sun beating down on her was her relaxation and joy. One of the last acts of thoughtfulness and kindness was to bake a coconut cake for our family. On Saturday she telephoned to tell me she'd deliver it to us on Sunday afternoon but would give me a call before coming.  We live on the other side of Macon from where she lived. Sunday came and she did not call. Several times I said out loud, "I wonder why Kitty hasn't called." Monday morning Robin called to tell us Kitty had suffered a stroke and was in ICU. We went there to see her. I asked her that since we didn't get the cake who would eat it. Quickly she raised her hand and pointed with her finger, shaking it as if to tell me, "YOU. You will eat it."  I told this to Robin and Robin went to the house and sure enough there was the coconut cake and Robin delivered it to us. She always sent us one at Christmas as well as  batch of her divine Divinity. The cake at this time of year was baked special for our son Jonathan and his wife Fiona who had just arrived from New Delhi, India. Kitty was their special friend.  Kitty is gone but will remain in our memories forever.

Years ago, I called Kitty because I was told that she knew something about the Marshalls! I am a Marshall and was visiting family who lived in the area; I was on a genealogy hunt...looking for my roots and my husband's! Kitty answered the phone with the warmest and most welcoming voice as I began to introduce myself...we learned 
quickly we were not just two ladies sharing the joy of our first meeting...we were kinfolks! 

She is one of the treasures I found in the roots of the Marshall Family Tree! 


We immediately became friends! She opened her heart and her home! The times we spent together were always exciting and special! Sharing our heritage and exploring the homeplace where out great-great grandpa Joseph Marshall lived was oh, so, fascinatin'! The first time she met my sweet Pete, she put him to work repairin one of her tractors! I don't think Kitty ever met a stranger! I could ramble on and on and on about Kitty! I will miss her! I wil miss her! And I believe I will be joined by many as we treasure the memories we were blessed with by her presence in our lives! Oh, I will miss her! 
 
I remember how proud she was to take a part in the Memorial and Dedication Service for Pvt. Henry Doss Marshall and his brother, John Loudy Marshall who served together in the Confederate 
Armed Forces. The ceremony was presented in June 2007 at Mt. Paran. Kitty's family also were present and took part in the ceremony.

I feel so blessed to have had Ms. Kitty pass through my life.  I met her through my job at the local USDA office.  She was intriguing, interesting, beautiful and so full of life.  I do not know how anyone could resist her.  Her life was one big adventure. Ms. Kitty was all a true Southern lady should be. She ballroom danced dressed like a character out of a novel. She wore her jeans and drove her tractor with her tiny self perched on that seat like a queen.  Always ready for a trip, always so glad to share her memories. Loved her horse Pumpkin.   So, so glad that I knew her.  To her family, she loved you all so much and was so proud of all of you. Let your wonderful memories of her keep her alive in your lives forever.

Miss Kitty! Truly was a very special Lady. She is very much a part of our family. We will miss her so very much and think of her everyday with thoughts of so many days on her farm, feeding horses,cows,and getting her out of the mud! Roy & I especially, teaching us how to properly set the table for a great meal she had prepared! We love you Miss Kitty!

Kitty will always be one of my heroes.  Her adventurous spirit and optimism continue to be models for us all - a real Renaissance woman who inspired me when I was young.

Kitty was a very much loved friend and neighbor of mine for almost twenty years. She and I had so much in common, including our love for animals, farm life and just out in the country in general. We had a lot of fun together over the years, riding the gator to the swamp, herding cows. Her little tiny frame up on that huge John Deere tractor bringing me rolls of hay in the winter time. Awesome memories I will treasure forever. I will surely miss her. I love you Kitty.
