Macon, GA – Larry Kent Proctor, 51, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2010 at Emory University Hospital after an extended illness. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 3:00 PM at First Evangelical Church of Fulton Mill Road. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Tim Long officiating. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 from 1:30 until service time at the church and may also be contacted at 7360 Zebulon Road, Macon GA 31220.
Mr. Proctor was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Larry Proctor. He was a graduate of Southwest High School and was a member of First Evangelical Church. Mr. Proctor was a branch manager with Ferguson Waterworks. Kent was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Brad Bedgood and Dr. Brenda Cooper and the staff at Emory University Hospital for the care given to Kent during his illness.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Janet Starley Proctor of Macon, son, Brad Proctor of Atlanta, daughter, Abbi Proctor of Macon, parents, Gene and Louella Hardy of Macon, sister, Kim (Shannon) Eddy of Macon, brother, Keith (Rhonda) Hardy of Macon, and several nieces and nephews.
