

Larry C. Stokes, Jr., 44, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 16, 2013. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September, 20 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Central Fellowship Baptist Church, Macon, GA. The family will meet friends on Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Central Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Terry Burns and Rev. Rodney Queen and Rev. Sherrill Campbell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Fellowship Baptist, Awana, 8460 Hawkinsville Road, Macon GA 31216.
Larry is the son of Larry C. Stokes Sr. and Patsy R. Stokes. He is a graduate of Chattanooga Valley High School in Flintstone, GA where he was chosen for most school spirit. He was a member of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church and loved to work with children in music. He is currently a member of Central Fellowship Baptist Church and active in Awana and other children’s ministry work. Larry said he believed God wanted him to work with children and Larry wanted to make a difference. While at Flintstone he was chosen as sports fan of the year in the Chattanooga area and Volunteer of the year at Cherokee Ridge Elementary School. His parents and sisters dearly love him and will miss him but we will see him again. Larry is a good Christian and in heaven with Jesus.
He is survived by his parents, Larry C. Stokes Sr. and Patsy R. Stokes, two sisters, Susan Stokes Ivey of Macon and Kimberly (Keith) Stokes Waggoner of Kingston, TN, four nephews, Kirby Waggoner, Joshua Ivey, Jonathan Ivey, and Jared Ivey.
