Laurel Ann “Laurie” Frasca Boone, 62, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on October 24, 2026. Her funeral will be held Friday, October 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home on Mercer University Drive in Macon. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., before the service.
Laurie was born June 3, 1964, in Alexandria, Virginia, to Margaret White Frasca and John C. Frasca. She grew up in Burke, Virginia, and moved to Macon at age 18, where she lived for the rest of her life.
Laurie taught in the Bibb County public school system for over 30 years. She taught elementary and middle school students in subjects including math and social studies, and also worked with students in areas ranging from special education to gifted education. She cared deeply about teaching and put her heart into her work.
Laurie was a devoted mother to her daughters, Ashlee and Kaitlyn, and worked hard to provide for them. She listened without judgment, supported them through life’s challenges, and was always there to cheer them on. She was endlessly proud of the women they became.
Laurie was gentle and kind, with a quirky sense of humor and a way of expressing herself that was entirely her own. She went through many hardships, but never lost her softness, her compassion for others, or her creative flair. She noticed when people around her were struggling and cared. She loved reading, running 5Ks with her family, and getting out to explore or enjoy a simple outing. She found joy in those little adventures and adored her two cats, Leo and Rocky.
Laurie was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret White Frasca and John C. Frasca, and her siblings, Janet Frasca and Will Frasca. She is survived by her daughters, Ashlee Boone-Tomberlin and her husband, Mark Tomberlin, and Kaitlyn Boone-Garland and her husband, Michael Garland; her brothers, John C. Frasca Jr. and his husband, Robert, and Robert Frasca and his wife, Beverly; and several beloved nieces and nephews and their families.
She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Laurie’s memory to All About Animals Rescue in Macon or the Bibb County Education Foundation, in honor of her love for animals and her years of teaching.
