

Lillian Lashley Norris, 96, formerly of Macon. There was a celebration in Heaven Monday morning when Mrs. Lillian Norris joined members of her family who preceded her. Her husband, Paul Norris, son-in-law, Bru Thompson, grandson, Norris Thompson, and great grandsons, Dustin Thompson and Canon Norris, parents, Thomas and Ellie Lashley as well as her six brothers and one sister.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Martin Jones officiating. The family will meet friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Mrs. Norris was born in Oglethorpe, Georgia and graduated from Oglethorpe High School. She lived most of her adult life in the central Georgia area, where she was a member of Porterfield Baptist Church. She and Mr. Norris moved to Fayetteville, Georgia in 1997, where she was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was retired from Robins Air Force Base.
She is survived by her daughter, Paulette Thompson of Fayetteville, son, Lloyd (Jackie) Norris of Kathleen, grandchildren, Greg (Lisa) Norris of Bonaire, Russell Norris of Fort Valley, Randall (Lauren) Norris of Forsyth, Chris Thompson of Fayetteville, Dana Hawkins of Senoia, and Jody (Shelly) Thompson of Sharpsburg, eleven great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren.
