Linda Sue Pollard Payne, 78, of Macon, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026. A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. till service time in Snows at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. in chapel and burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Reed Crumbliss will officiate.
Born in Macon, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John T. Pollard and Margie McCranie Pollard. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Bolingbroke, Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Study Group and a member of the Porterfield and Colaparchee Garden Clubs.
Mrs. Payne retired from Robins Air Force Base where she worked as a lab technician with 31 years of service. In her free time, she loved working in her flower beds, tending to her flowers, going fishing and assisting in feeding the homeless of Macon-Bibb County. She was loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, George W. Payne; daughter, Kim Davis (James); grandson, Tyler Davis (Donna Wilder) Sister-in-law, Pat Stephens. Several nieces and nephews.
